Two tropical storms hit Mexico, leaving at least 34 dead as of Monday.

Governor Javier Duarte said the death toll could rise as more bodies are recovered.

Storms Ingrid and Manuel wreaked havoc along the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific coast of Mexico on Sunday and torrential rains continue today.

Cities and towns are flooded, causing mudslides and disabling highways. Mexican officials reported they have not seen similar weather since 1958.
